About the role

The LiveLink Telematics team manages one of the world’s largest connected machine fleets, delivering digital insights and applications that help customers, dealers, and internal teams maximise machine uptime and efficiency.

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join the JCB LiveLink team at the World Parts Centre. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of business and technology, gathering and prioritising requirements from a wide range of stakeholders and translating them into clear, actionable solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with developers to ensure high‑quality web and mobile applications are delivered that solve real‑world business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as a key link between business stakeholders and software development teams, gathering, clarifying, and prioritising requirements
  • Translating stakeholder needs into clear, structured, and developable specifications or user stories
  • Ensuring proposed solutions meet business objectives and are technically feasible for delivery
  • Working closely with developers, product owners, and UX teams throughout the full software development lifecycle
  • Facilitating workshops, meetings, and discussions to align requirements and manage expectations across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Maintaining requirements, documentation, and project information using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Supporting Agile delivery by preparing, refining, and prioritising the backlog to enable effective sprint planning

What you will be suited to

Core skills & experience

  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on software or digital projects
  • Strong experience using the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, or similar tools)
  • Experience working within IoT, telematics, or fleet management environments
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery methodologies and backlog management
  • Awareness of OEM → Dealer → Customer distribution models

Technical & analytical capability

  • Solid understanding of how websites and web applications operate, including basic technical architecture and data flows
  • Comfortable working with common data patterns and structures such as tables, lists, and hierarchical data
  • Understanding of cloud‑based architectures (AWS, Azure, or similar), or relevant certification

Stakeholder & communication strengths

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gather, challenge, and balance input from multiple groups
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear, developable technical specifications
  • Confident communicator with strong facilitation and problem‑solving capability
  • Comfortable working across both technical and non‑technical teams

Personal attributes & approach

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable in fast‑moving environments
  • Able to balance business need with technical feasibility
  • Motivated by turning complex requirements into practical, value‑driven solutions
