Quality & Contracts Officer – Permanent 36 hours
Overview
The role supports the delivery of high‑quality, personalised care and support across all service provision by shaping, developing, and sustaining an efficient and effective Community Care Market, with a strong focus on quality improvement.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in delivering the programme of work across Wirral, working closely with care providers, health partners, and Adult Social Care operational teams to support and strengthen the Community Care Market.
- Lead, collaborate and influence stakeholders to assess the quality of care delivered by Adult Social Care providers, promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement and supporting providers to improve outcomes, resilience and long‑term sustainability.
- Analyse and monitor performance data, oversee providers rated as low or medium risk through the RAG framework, and manage contractual aspects of the role.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated energy, resilience and a positive, can‑do attitude in a fast‑paced environment where priorities and ways of working evolve.
- Flexibility, highly organised, and an effective communicator with the ability to manage own workload while balancing competing priorities.
- Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively within a hybrid model; experience with defined targets, analysing and interpreting information, exercising sound professional judgement and communicating clearly and effectively with customers, providers and stakeholders.
Eligibility
Eligibility to work in the UK will be verified in the final stages of the selection process. All candidates must either already have a right to work in the UK before commencing employment or meet Home Office criteria for visa sponsorship. This role does not meet the requirements of a skilled worker visa as set out by UK Visa and Immigration.
