People and Culture Officer – Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London

We’re looking for a People and Culture Officer to join our vibrant and dynamic People & Culture Team at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London.

Within your role as People and Culture Officer you will be responsible for –

  • Managing the Talent Attraction cycle from posting vacancies, screening CVs, interviewing candidates, sending out offers and preparing contracts of employment, in line with operational budget.
  • Preparing vacancy list and informing Head of Departments of new starters.
  • Preparing onboarding of new colleagues, including setting up their profiles for various digital systems.
  • Payroll, sickness and absence administration as required.
  • Ensuring that all People & Culture administration procedures are carried out in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Keeping up to date with all UK & European legislation affecting People & Culture.
  • Responding to all reference requests for current colleagues, ex‑colleagues and other employers in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that all recruits have valid work permits for the UK and, where requested, applying for work permits, administering renewals, extensions and cancellations by liaising with Immigration.
  • Being the face and first point of contact of the office for all colleagues to approach.
  • Assisting, developing, implementing and adhering to Company & Hotel People & Culture policies and procedures.
  • Assisting the Senior People & Culture Management team with any project work as and when required.
  • Being responsible for the administrative tasks related to internal social and employee engagement.

As a People and Culture Officer you will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.
