Senior Design Manager
Location: Coalville, Leicestershire
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 + Car/Allowance + Bonus + Pension + 25 Days Holiday

The Role
As Senior Design Manager, you will lead the design process on new build construction projects ranging from £10m to £30m. Based in Coalville, you'll work closely with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure design delivery aligns with programme, budget, and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design process from pre-construction through to project completion
- Manage consultant teams and coordinate multidisciplinary design information
- Drive design programmes in line with project timelines
- Review and challenge design solutions to ensure buildability and cost efficiency
- Chair design team meetings and manage design risk registers
- Work closely with commercial, planning, and delivery teams
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements
- Support bid and tender processes where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager or Design Manager with a main contractor
- Experience delivering new build projects valued between £10m-£30m
- Strong technical and construction knowledge across multiple sectors
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Relevant construction or design qualification (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)
