Overview

Due to exciting changes to our emergency pathways, we have the opportunity to welcome a Deputy Sisters/Charge Nurses in a permanent role to work with us on the Surgical Triage Unit and C31. We are looking for experienced and motivated registered nurses to join our team, particularly those with a keen interest in emergency general surgery, HPB, Colorectal, ENT, Max Fax and vascular specialities.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the flow of patients through the STU, ensuring that patients are welcomed, managed in a safe and timely manner, receive the required tests and scans and move on through the hospital to the appropriate location.
  • Support the nursing team throughout the shift, managing any issues or concerns as they arise.
  • On Ward C31 – a busy 32‑bed general surgical admissions ward – coordinate patient flow and ensure the smooth running of each shift.
  • Work within a large, varied, friendly team, thriving under pressure while maintaining excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

Registered Nurse with experience in emergency general surgery and related specialties such as HPB, Colorectal, ENT, Max Fax and vascular. Must be an experienced and motivated registered nurse with a keen interest in the above specialties.
