Oculoplastic Fellow – West of England Eye Unit, Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital
Opening in August 2026, this fellowship provides high‑quality patient care and the development of ophthalmology skills. Candidates will work within a large, supportive team, assisting experienced consultants in an oculoplastic clinic and theatre lists. The post includes robust clinical training to achieve proficiency across commonly performed oculoplastic procedures.
Closing date: 15 May 2026.
Job responsibilities
- Diagnosis and management of outpatients in oculoplastic clinics.
- Assisting with oculoplastic theatre lists; delivering these lists independently once sufficient proficiency is attained.
- Supporting the emergency eye service.
- Engagement in formal and informal teaching.
- Participation in on‑call rota.
Working pattern
Full Time – 40 hours per week.
Contract
Fixed term until 01 08 2027.
Qualifications
Welcomed applicants include Trust Doctors ST3+.
