Research Governance Systems Officer
About The Role
Ethics@Bath, our central ethics management system, has already been successfully launched and is now embedded as the primary tool for managing ethical review processes across the University.
We are also enhancing our use of ReDA to support stronger oversight of clinical studies, ensuring that study registration, monitoring and reporting are well‑governed and aligned with regulatory requirements.
In addition, we are preparing to launch a new digital solution that will support the management of export control licences, risk assessments, and a wider range of research‑related compliance processes. Together, these systems will enable a more connected, efficient, and user‑friendly research governance environment.
About You

- Enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and improving processes.
- Pays close attention to detail and understands the importance of data integrity.
- Communicates clearly and works collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and teams.
- Can help design and produce reports or dashboards that enable colleagues to manage their responsibilities effectively.
- Is proactive, organised, and comfortable balancing competing priorities.
Experience in research governance, ethics review, compliance, or research administration is welcome but not essential. Support and training will be provided.
