Job Overview
Reporting directly to the Head of Deployment, you will be responsible for managing multiple installation projects of medium to high complexity, typically ranging in duration from 1 day to 12 weeks. As a Senior Installation Project Manager, you will provide leadership and direction to ensure successful delivery of projects across the UK and globally with accountability for cost, time and quality. You will act as the primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring clear communication, alignment and expectation management throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage medium to high complexity installation projects across the UK and globally, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients, providing clear communication and managing expectations.
- Collaborate closely across departments, mentor colleagues, and foster a culture of shared success and continuous improvement.
- Pass on knowledge and expertise to colleagues, supporting the upskilling of team members and contributing to best practice development within the Deployment function.
- Prioritise effectively to meet customer expectations and Service Level Agreements.
- Show flexibility, adapting to fast‑paced changes, shifting priorities and challenging deadlines, and acting as the escalation point during critical project phases.
- Approach the role hands‑on, supporting campaign activations and overseeing warehouse operations including picking, packing, logistics coordination and dispatch.
- Ensure adherence to standard processes while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Lead programme‑management activities such as project reporting, financial tracking and risk management, and make confident decisions.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve deployment efficiency, enhance the client experience and contribute to strategic development of the Deployment function.
- Manage own time and collaborate with key business users to coordinate, administer and activate installation projects with a focus on quality.
- Create deployment project briefs, RAMS and SOWs.
- Oversee daily quality control compliance, reacting quickly to obstacles and challenges.
- Organise and book installations into retail chains, liaising with store managers and key department contacts.
- Manage the Team Haven reporting platform: upload call files, allocate installers, create questionnaires and manage quality control.
- Ensure deployment work on site is carried out correctly.
- Assess tasks, resource requirements, order fulfilment items and create picking lists.
- Create supplier PO’s and handle commercials such as budget management and preparing quotes.
- Analyse project progress and adapt scope, timelines and costs as necessary.
- Produce internal and external compliance reports.
Out‑of‑Hours / Flexibility Requirement
- Occasional travel within the UK and internationally to oversee on‑site installations.
- Flexibility to work early starts, late finishes or outside standard business hours as needed.
- This may occasionally involve working outside standard business hours.

- Proven track record of delivering multiple small to large‑scale installation projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, able to guide and coach colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, handling multiple projects simultaneously and prioritising effectively.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to influence and build trust with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
- Hands‑on operational experience in warehouse coordination, logistics oversight and on‑site project support.
- Problem‑solving mindset with ability to anticipate issues, manage risks and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Analytical and reporting skills; experience tracking budgets, timelines, SLAs and performance metrics.
- Flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Commercial awareness recognising how deployment activities affect cost, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency with project‑management tools such as Monday, Smartsheet, Jira, Zendesk or equivalent, and strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Willingness to travel in the UK to support and oversee project execution.
- Degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Professional project‑management certification desirable (PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent).
- Background in retail display or POP industry, experience using Team Haven or similar field‑project‑management tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management, reporting and project tracking.
- Understanding of production and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
- Health & Safety awareness or certification.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- 4+ years of experience managing installation projects from initiation to completion in the retail display/POP industry.
- Experience booking into retailer chains, shopping centres and site access systems; preparation of RAMS, Statements of Work and Scopes of Work.
- Hands‑on experience with warehouse and logistics operations, including picking, packing, shipping and on‑site execution.
