We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer for a engineering consultancy delivering high–quality, innovative solutions across multiple sectors. They pride themselves on technical excellence, collaborative working, and providing tailored services to their clients. They are now looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join the team.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems for a range of projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to produce efficient, compliant, and cost–effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems
- Produce detailed design drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. BS, IEC)
- Coordinate meetings to establish project requirements
- Develop and deliver progress reports
- Ensure all designs are in accordance with the appropriate Standards (Building regulations, planning) and other statutory requirements
- Coordinate effectively with clients and contractors involved in the project
- Provide detailed lighting calculations for commercial and residential projects
- Lead project technical handovers
- Delivery of the project in compliance with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental plan
- Manage Commercial, Retail and Residential projects from RIBA Stage 1 to Completion
- Lead project meetings and Technical Handover
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and surveys as required
