We are recruiting an experienced Field Service Breakdown Engineer for a well-established industrial engineering company based in Rushden. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated engineer to join a growing business offering a permanent position within a varied industrial maintenance and breakdown environment.
Salary
£35,000 – £48,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to carry out electrical breakdown repairs, servicing, and maintenance
- Diagnose faults using electrical drawings and fault-finding techniques
- Work on a wide range of industrial machinery including compactors, balers, shredders, printing presses, extruders, and automated systems
- Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance work efficiently and safely
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the business on-site
- Work independently to identify issues and restore machinery operation
- Support preventative maintenance and servicing activities across multiple industries
Requirements
- Previous experience within an industrial maintenance or breakdown engineering environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Working knowledge of PLC systemsKnowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical engineering
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Relevant City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Maintenance Engineering
- Full UK Driving Licence
