Role Overview

The Spread Products (SP) production management group provides direct support to a diverse set of trading desks under the “SP” banner, focusing on ITIL support procedures and protocols. As a first line of technical defence, we work closely with our partners in Sales, Trading, Operations, and Risk & Controls to ensure stable platforms that enable us to be the best for our clients.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Support Spread Products risk calculation and feed generation applications.
  • Work as part of a global follow-the-sun team ensuring overnight risk batches complete successfully within SLAs.
  • Investigate issues raised by downstream partners on feeds delivered to them, improving data quality checks, monitoring and alerting.
  • Collaborate with in‑house development teams, escalating issues where needed.
  • Track incidents in Service Now, own the stability book of work in Jira.
  • Improve monitoring, observability and controls for our stack.
  • Enhance resiliency and recoverability for our stack, holding our dev team accountable.

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Multi‑tasking and prioritisation of issues based on impact.
  • Ability to work under pressure, reacting quickly to issues and outages.
  • Mindset of constant improvement and anticipating issues.
  • Good all‑round technical skills: log analysis, scripting, Unix, SQL.
  • Good communication skills, able to interact with technical and business stakeholders.

Beneficial / Nice to Have Skills and Experience

  • Experience in an L2 application support role.
  • Experience within Banking / Markets Technology.
