Role Overview

The Senior QA Automation Engineer works closely with the other Engineers in the squad to ensure the product aligns with the roadmap and strategy, while collaborating with the QA Chapter to build out automation test frameworks and best practices. You will evangelise test automation, be hands‑on with initiatives, and champion our shift‑left strategy within the team.

Collaborating with the QA Chapter, you will design and create a suite of automation scripts, document test cases, and conduct functional and non‑functional testing across both performance and scalability as we support millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Champion automated testing
  • Define and run exploratory and automated test cases
  • Collaborate with squad Engineers to refine, design and deliver new product features
  • Identify new areas of automation testing to improve quality
  • Proactively improve processes with a shift‑left mindset and approach
  • Manage quality gate releases in the squad
  • Contribute to the wider QA strategy, architecture, and tooling across all products to ensure consistency

Qualifications

  • Passionate about craft and eager to learn and adopt new technology
  • Experience with tools and frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Junit, Postman, Saucelabs
  • Thrives working as part of a close‑knit team and making decisions together to deliver valuable experience to customers
  • Experience working within a fast‑paced agile environment
  • Experience with shift‑left strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoys working with remote colleagues
  • Good understanding of testing and the testing pyramid framework
  • Understanding of manual and automation testing
  • Knowledge of programming languages preferably .Net and Typescript
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and other agile tooling

Bonus Points

  • Experience of testing in a cloud infrastructure
  • Load testing with JMeter or Gatling
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker
  • Knowledge of MongoDB
  • TypeScript
  • SwiftUI
