Project Manager – Balvac.Location: Projects across the UK based in Leeds or Derby.Company: Balvac – Balfour Beatty.
Balfour Beatty is recruiting a Project Manager to join Balvac, a specialist construction & remediation business. This hands‑on leadership role has responsibility for safely delivering projects to time, cost and quality standards while building strong customer relationships and driving continuous improvement.
Balvac is a specialist business unit delivering structural strengthening, refurbishment, remediation and heavy civils, often in live or constrained environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget, with full P&L responsibility.
- Lead safety with passion, embedding a Zero Harm culture and driving continuous improvement.
- Engage closely with customers to manage change, expectations and long‑term relationships.
- Drive strong sustainability performance, promoting efficient management of waste, energy and water.
- Embed operational excellence through leadership health checks and rigorous monthly project improvement processes.
- Ensure effective planning, risk management, project controls and reporting.
- Apply Lean construction principles and digital tools such as BIM360Field to optimise performance and safety.
- Maintain a strong understanding of contract terms and conditions to support commercial decision‑making.

- Valid CSCS card.
- Professional qualification (e.g., APMP) – desirable.
