Join the team helping to keep Belfast clean, safe, and welcoming. On behalf of Belfast City Council First Choice is currently seeking a reliable Sweeper Driver / Labourer to operate cleansing vehicles and carry out street and park cleaning duties across the city.
Job Location:
- Based out of Druncrue Industrial Estate, Belfast
Hours of Work:
- Sunday to Wednesday: 7:30am – 3:30pm
- Thursday: 7:30am – 3:00pm (early finish)
Pay & Position Details:
- £13.47 per hour
- Temporary role for 3 months, with the opportunity for extension based on performance
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving and maintaining council cleansing vehicles
- Working as part of a small team across various locations in Belfast
- Cleaning streets, parks, footpaths, and litter bins
- Supporting general labouring duties as required
- Following assigned daily routes and all health and safety procedures
This role is ideal for someone dependable, safety-conscious, and happy working outdoors as part of a dedicated team.
What We Need From You
- A full, current Category C1 driving licence
- A valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in commercial driving, outdoor cleansing, and dealing directly with the public
- A strong team player with good communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
