Kubernetes Software Engineer – Up to £150k (flexible) + Bonus

A highly technical, engineering-led firm within the quant space is looking for a Software Engineer to work on a large-scale container platform that underpins critical systems.

The role

• Building and improving core components of a Kubernetes-based platform
• Developing tooling and services to support large-scale, multi-tenant environments
• Working on scheduling, orchestration, and performance of distributed systems
• Contributing to platform reliability, scalability, and efficiency
• Collaborating closely with infrastructure and platform teams
• Writing production-quality code and improving engineering standards

Scale / environment

• High-throughput distributed systems processing millions of workloads daily
• Infrastructure spanning large compute clusters and GPU workloads
• Highly automated environment with continuous deployment and change
• Performance-sensitive systems with real scale challenges

What they’re looking for

• Strong software engineering background
• Experience with Kubernetes in production environments
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python
• Experience building or working on distributed systems
• Comfortable working in Linux-based environments
• Ability to solve complex engineering problems at scale
