A leading international law firm is seeking a talented mid-level Associate to join its highly regarded Project Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile domestic and cross-border energy and infrastructure transactions alongside market-leading partners and clients.
The successful candidate will advise sponsors, lenders, investors, developers, and public sector bodies across a broad range of project finance matters, with a particular focus on infrastructure, renewables, energy transition, and PPP/PFI projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on project finance and infrastructure transactions from inception through to financial close
- Drafting and negotiating finance documents, security documentation, and ancillary agreements
- Supporting acquisitions, refinancings, restructurings, and development projects
- Coordinating due diligence processes and transaction management across multiple stakeholders
- Working closely with colleagues across banking, construction, corporate, and regulatory teams
- Managing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers where appropriate
Candidate Profile
- England & Wales qualified solicitor with approximately 3–6 years’ PQE
- Strong experience in project finance gained at a recognised international or national law firm
- Exposure to energy, infrastructure, renewables, or transport sector transactions preferred
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Strong academic background and commitment to client service excellence
