Overview
Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is a distinctive institution located in the Liverpool City Region. The International Relations team leads the university’s internationalisation efforts, including partnership development, student mobility, and recruiting international students. We are looking for a permanent Regional Manager to join the team, reporting to the Head of International Recruitment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of international recruitment objectives for a portfolio of country markets in line with the University’s strategy.
- Build effective relationships with external stakeholders to develop market activity and achieve specific international objectives.
- Provide expertise and market intelligence to support the development of international activity within the University.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities to advance the University’s international strategy.
- Represent the University overseas.
- Spend considerable time overseas each year, including weekends and evenings as required.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in international student recruitment within a UK university setting.
- Proven ability to formulate and implement international recruitment plans.
- Comprehensive understanding of national and international educational developments and their impact on higher education and student recruitment.
- Knowledge of overseas education systems and qualifications.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience gathering and interpreting data to inform decision‑making.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Track record of meeting targets in a target‑setting environment.
