Senior Claims Adjuster – International Casualty

We are recruiting for a Senior Claims Adjuster – International Casualty, on behalf of a top 2 legacy player globally.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering prompt, accurate and consistent adjustment, reserving and settlement of International Casualty claims across Lloyd’s and London Market platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Promptly agreeing valid claims for payment.
- Creating, reviewing and implementing strategies to expedite settlement of valid claims.
- Identifying, investigating and raising coverage issues where applicable.
- Adjusting reserves inline with coverage, liability and quantum factors.
- Ensuring reserves and claims data is held accurately on the claims system at all times.
- Liaising with internal departments such as Delegated Authority and Claims Hub to ensure valid claims are progressing towards settlement.
- Managing relationships with external experts including legal experts within the relevant jurisdictions.
- Reviewing and tackling static claims / reserves.
- Effectively utilising diary system for key actions, recoveries and other claims matters.
- Establishing strong working relationships with external delegated claims handlers.
- Maintaining knowledge of market issues, and legal updates relevant to International Casualty class.
- Escalating and reporting to management on claims above financial authority or with potential to materially impact the business.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience within Lloyd's market and claims systems.
- Experience with Trax is advantageous.
- Experience of International claims handling, specifically USA and/or Canada and/or Australia.
- Ability to take on a case load and drive claims to settlement.
- Ability to challenge stakeholders to use reserving rationale experience of adjusting assumed reinsurance claims – XoL and Treaty.
- Strong negotiation abilities, with confidence in influencing outcomes.
- Effective presentation skills, able to communicate complex information clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, tailored to a range of audiences.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
