Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Managers across all stages of construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a dynamic consultancy environment. The role will be Belfast based (with travel across the UK and Ireland).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects
- Support projects from initial concept through to completion
- Attend meetings, prepare agendas, and take clear, accurate minutes
- Maintain project documentation and ensure records are up to date and well organised
- Monitor project progress and report on key milestones
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Assist with procurement activities and tender processes
- Support contract administration duties, acting under the direction of the Project Manager as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent, or Project Manager
- Assist in managing professional team appointments and fee drawdowns/invoicing
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage records and documentation effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills – both written and oral
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
- Experience with MS Project or other project planning software is advantageous
- Willingness to travel to projects across the UK and Ireland
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
