JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Concept Creation & Prototyping

  • Collaborate closely with Industrial Design, Electronics, and Product Innovation teams to generate early‑stage concepts for evaluation and testing.
  • Develop product assembly concepts, space models, and feasibility layouts.
  • Apply ergonomic and usability principles to hand‑held product concepts.
  • Produce prototypes and iterate designs based on testing insights.

Product Development

  • Demonstrate mechanical engineering fundamentals to develop robust, manufacturable designs.
  • Define key design parameters to support creepage, clearance, and ESD compliance.
  • Demonstrate strong capability in:
    • Concept generation and problem solving
    • 3D CAD (complex surfacing and solid modelling)
    • Detailed part design and 2D engineering drawings
    • Materials selection and manufacturing process definition
    • Rapid prototyping and hands‑on lab techniques
    • Deliver designs suitable for injection moulding, die casting, extrusion, sheet metal, and a range of finishing processes.
    • Own the 3D CAD database and ensure accurate, complete 2D documentation.
    • Perform analytical tasks such as tolerance analysis, FMEA, DFSS, mould flow interpretation, and FEA.
