We are looking for a qualified solicitor with ideally at least 5 years + PQE who has a real passion for residential property to join the busy team in Manchester. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to deliver outstanding client service, as the role involves regular contact with clients and agents.
The successful candidate will provide clients and agents with regular updates, advice, and draft documentation. The role involves operating a Case Management System, so good IT skills are essential. We are looking for a candidate with keen attention to detail and who is confident working autonomously within a challenging commercial environment and can hit the ground running.
The core purpose of the role is to undertake fee-earning work to provide a profitable contribution to the department, to provide support and assistance to the department and to ensure the development of the firm in line with the business plan.
Role
- Effectively handle a busy caseload of a wide range of property transactions, including purchases, sales, and re-mortgages of freehold and leasehold properties.
- Liaise with and provide support to other service line teams.
- Develop client relationships within the residential team and refer work internally to other service lines.
- Meet client expectations through timely acknowledgement and progression of client calls and queries.
- Assist with business development and marketing activities.
- Provide support to solicitors as required, working collaboratively.
- Understand and contribute to the team’s objectives.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years PQE in residential conveyancing / property.
- Good organisational, communication, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to run own caseload comfortably.
- Proven effective management of matters.
Desirable
- Experience with SOS case management system.
