We are looking to recruit a Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a fantastic small animal veterinary practice in the City of Chelmsford area of ESSEX.

Position Overview

  • Excellent full‑time permanent role with hours over 4 days a week including a 1 in 4 weekend rota and no out‑of‑hours.
  • Practice has great facilities and up‑to‑date equipment and technologies; ultrasound, digital X‑ray, multi‑parameter monitoring and in‑house laboratory.
  • Ideally you will be experienced, motivated and enthusiastic with a minimum of 4 years experience in small‑animal practice.
  • If you have already worked in a Lead Veterinary role this is also an advantage.
  • Role requires confidence in small‑animal routine surgeries and consults.
  • You will be joining a fabulous team of three Vet Surgeons.
  • Caseload is a full spectrum of first‑opinion work including a varied surgical caseload and offers a great opportunity to develop your areas of interest including support and funding to study further if desired.
  • Fantastic location near the pretty Essex coast with trains into London in under 45 minutes, close to the A12 and London Stansted Airport is under an hour away.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
  • Registered with the RCVS.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience.
  • Confidence in small‑animal routine surgeries and consults.
  • Lead Vet or Senior Vet experience advantageous.
