We are hiring for our client, a well-established and growing business in Belfast, who are seeking to appoint a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their finance team. This Newly Qualified Accountant role offers an excellent opportunity to make the move into industry and gain broad commercial finance exposure within a fast-paced environment.
The successful Newly Qualified Accountant will work closely with the wider finance function across monthly management accounts preparation, VAT returns, cashflow management, audit support, and day-to-day financial operations. This role would suit someone recently qualified through practice or industry training who is keen to further develop their commercial and technical accounting experience.

The Role:
- Assist with monthly accounts preparation
- Prepare bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, payroll, and inventory reporting
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Work with ERP systems to post journals, process payments, and run reports
- Prepare and submit VAT returns across NI and ROI
- Support cashflow management and oversee multiple bank accounts
- Liaise with external auditors during audit processes
- Respond to ad-hoc finance queries from internal departments
- Produce and analyse reports using advanced Excel skills
The Person:
- Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Previous experience assisting with month-end processes
- Experience using ERP/accounting systems
- Strong Excel capability including reporting and data analysis
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments
