We’re looking for professionals with experience across front and middle office operating models, business analysis, data management and project management disciplines.The AVP Practice Analyst leads program activities across the life span of the implementation often in partnership with other leads/analysts as needed. Activities range from cost estimation, scoping requirements and engaging with clients and internal workstream leads to facilitating data collection and adapter set up process, organizing and leading conversion events (dry run, dress rehearsal, go live). Ensuring a smooth transition to BAU working across the different business units and managing the end to end Operational Readiness workstream is also part of the Practice. The individual will be expected to coordinate and manage the activities of those involved in the implementation(s) and the conversion events themselves which could be up to 10-15 individuals located in different time zones.Why this role is important to us:The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Alpha Professional Services, launched in 2019. Alpha is the growth strategy for State Street and we’re investing in and delivering on innovative next generation solutions.Join us if delivering next generation infrastructure, using emerging technologies like public cloud, microservices, snowflake and AI are what you are up for.What you will be responsible for:Create and implement conversion strategies to successfully migrate data from legacy platforms into state Street Alpha/middle office platforms.Coordinate and drive the deliverables of conversion planning and coordination with testing in order to meet the milestonesCreates data maps to show the flow from legacy systems to the in-house system using existing functionality and processesDrives the data conversion development lifecycle and methodology including requirements analysis, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, deployment tools, and maintenanceLeads issue resolution and gap closure in terms of data provided or discrepancies in data between legacy presentation and the future state model based on the feedback providedHeads all conversion events which includes some weekend activity and off hoursServes as client facing lead for all conversion related activity with client and internal business unitsServes as an SME speaking to details as required while managing multiple processesManage Conversion events like Damp runs, Dry runs and Dress rehearsals which leads up to the GO live conversionWhat we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this roleExcellent Communication Skills with ability to effectively run meetings and collaborate across teams and functionsAbility to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work. Weekend work required.Ability to proactively identify potential issues and drive resolution.Leadership and effective management skillsEducation & Preferred Qualifications7+ years of relevant Financial Industry Experience required, preferably Investment Management, Asset ManagementExperience in implementation of large client onboardings with complex architecture, multiple teams and functionalities.Experience in Migration of data into Front office and middle office systems.Experience working across teams using Jira and ConfluenceExposure to Charles River or any other front office systems is preferredIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access skills, as well as Microsoft Project or other project management software experienceSolid understanding of Data Warehouses and Databases including SQLHigh Level knowledge or experience in Capital markets including Middle & Back Office, Securities, Bank Loans, IBOR / ABOR, Transaction Mgmt or system knowledge of Eagle, Eagle Star, PAM, Portia, WSO or other is expected.Experience owning initiatives / projects related to Middle & Back Office Client On boardingAbout State StreetAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
