  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or international equivalent)
  • Strong technical accounting skills with ability to work from first principles
  • Around 3 years post‑qualification experience
  • Confident preparing and reviewing detailed financial statements and management accounts
  • Experienced in supervising, coaching, and developing junior team members
  • Skilled across multiple accounting processes, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Highly professional, adaptable, and effective in a hybrid working environment
  • Solid working knowledge of local and international accounting standards (UK GAAP/US GAAP/IFRS)

About Your Role

Always

  • Lead preparation and review of management accounts and detailed financial statements across multiple portfolios
  • Provide meaningful insight and variance analysis to guide decision‑making
  • Ensure accounting compliance, financial controls, and reporting standards are consistently applied
  • Mentor and support junior colleagues, acting as a senior presence across assignments

Often

  • Oversee day‑to‑day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and client‑focused accounting tasks
  • Participate in temporary assignments or secondments as required
  • Contribute to process improvement, technology adoption, and risk management initiatives
  • Maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as needed

Occasionally

  • Assist with special projects, operational initiatives, or system rollouts
  • Advise on proposals, accounting compliance, or workflow enhancements
  • Support team development and resourcing decisions

Never

  • Lose sight of the story behind the numbers
  • Challenge a spreadsheet to a staring contest
