We are excited to be offering a 8b Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist and Operational Lead to our MHT/ MHT+ Specialist Psychological Therapies Service for working age adults with severe and complex mental health difficulties in the Ashford & Canterbury locality. You will be working closely with the Clinical Lead for East Kent. We would be particularly keen to hear from those with experience of working with adults with severe and enduring mental health problems, those with operational and managerial experience, and those in established 8a or 8b posts and ready to develop these competencies and skills.
Responsibilities
- You will have operational lead responsibilities for the service and manage the team.
- You will have your own caseload of assessment, individual and group interventions.
- You will collaborate closely with the service manager for MHT+ and the wider team in line with the Community Mental Health Framework and the Transformation to develop agendas.
- You will serve as a senior member of the Psychological Therapies leadership team, representing the service in local meetings, discussing the appropriateness of referrals with the wider community team and influencing service delivery.
- There is ample opportunity to learn about organisational dynamics and delivery of care while supporting the Transformation and delivering training and supervision to Mental Health Together and Mental Health Together+ colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working with adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
- Operational and managerial experience.
- Experience of Mentalisation Based Psychotherapy, Structured Clinical Management and EMDR is welcomed; formal HEE funded training will be available for those interested.
- Ready to develop further competencies and skills in an 8b or established 8a / 8b post.
