What will you be doing?
As Treasurer, you’ll be a key voice on our Board, helping shape strategy and ensure strong, transparent financial governance. Working closely with the Chair, CEO and fellow trustees, you’ll oversee budgets, financial reporting and risk, and support long term planning, helping us balance ambition with sustainability.
What are we looking for?
We are open to a variety of professional financial backgrounds and qualifications with, ideally, but not necessarily only, charities and including current registration with one of the professional bodies:
- Institute of Chartered Accountants E&W.
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
- CIPFA
The ideal candidate will bring:
Essential
- A professional background in finance with at least 5 years post-qualification in accounting, investment or financial management
- Experience of financial oversight, governance or strategic financial planning
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial audiences
Desirable
- Experience of charity finance or working with non-profit organisations
- Experience supporting organisational growth and development
- Most importantly, we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to helping people recover from drug and alcohol problems.
