This position supports the Head of Risk in developing, embedding, and continuously improving the organisation’s risk management framework. The role plays a key part in identifying, assessing, and reporting risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with industry standards. It provides clear, commercially focused, forward-looking risk oversight to support strategic objectives and sits within the second line of defence.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing the enterprise risk management framework
- Promote risk awareness and support training initiatives across the business
- Encourage strong risk ownership throughout all departments
- Prepare and coordinate high-quality risk reports for internal committees and external stakeholders
- Ensure clear and effective risk communication across the organisation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date risk and control registers
- Ensure alignment with the evolving risk profile, including emerging risks
- Facilitate RCSA processes across business areas
- Ensure risks and controls are properly assessed, documented, and tested
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience in risk management within the insurance or financial services sector
- Strong understanding of key risk types and regulatory expectations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as prudential standards and solvency requirements
