Position Title: Cyber Security Manager

Contract Type: Permanent Full Time

Role

We are one of the UK's leading equipment hire providers, undergoing a technology‑driven transformation. We are looking for a Cyber Security Manager to lead and manage the organisation's cyber security function, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. A core responsibility of the role is to lead the implementation of a Cyber Security Improvement Programme, defined as part of a recent Cyber Security Maturity Assessment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as Programme Lead for the Cyber Security Improvement Programme, ensuring initiatives identified during the organisation's maturity assessment are delivered on time, within scope, and to required quality standards.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of cyber security policies, standards, and procedures aligned to recognised industry frameworks.
  • Oversee the management of security tools, technologies and platforms including monitoring, SIEM, endpoint protection, identity security and vulnerability management.
  • Coordinate cross‑departmental initiatives to implement security controls, processes and technology improvements.
  • Champion a culture of cyber security awareness across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior cyber security role, such as Cyber Security Manager or Security Lead.
  • Experience delivering cyber security improvement programmes or security transformation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0.
  • Experience managing third‑party suppliers.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
