We are happy to consider Pharmacists with no previous GP practice experience and Pharmacists with GP practice experience. We will also consider newly qualified candidates who are prescribers and place them on the CPPE pathway.

Main duties of the job

  • As a member of the practice team, you will work closely with our clinicians to help and improve patient care and make cost‑effective prescribing decisions.
  • You will run daily telephone triage clinics and call in patients for assessment and management where clinically indicated, as well as review and triage pathology results, contacting patients. Provide practice‑based review clinic to those with LYCs or complex health needs.
  • Review and action incoming hospital correspondence, particularly with regards to medicine reconciliation or initiation, liaising with local pharmacies to improve patient outcomes.
  • Lead practice repeat prescription service and deal with queries from reception staff and patients. Also participate in home visits and immunisation initiatives.

  • GPhC registered.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written, the ability to work well as part of a team, and willingness to develop clinically.
