My Shrewsbury based client is currently recruiting for a Senior Architectural Technician based in their Shrewsbury studios – Hybrid working.
My client is looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician, with a minimum of 10 years experience; you will have sound knowledge of construction and detailing.
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience.
37 hours per week (Hybrid working).

Responsibilities
- Responsible for day to day job running during production information and site stages under the supervision of a Project Director
- Produce effective working drawing packages with the minimum of supervision
- Advise on environmental and building regulatory requirements affecting the project
- A good understanding of current and future fire regulations
- Advise on materials
- Carry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM)
- Co-ordinate with other consultants/colleagues, disseminate information to team members and negotiate with statutory bodies
- Ensure compliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirements
- Co-ordinate detailed design information
- Liaise with and produce documentation for statutory and local approval authorities
- Use latest Revit Level 2 BIM processes
- Able to provide COBie data
- Source technical information, buildability awareness, carry out Health and Safety Risk assessments, prepare tender reports and recommendations, carry out measured surveys and implement and work to QA procedures
Skills & Experience
- Relevant degree, HNC/HND or BTEC
- No less than 10 years experience as a Technician
- Demonstrable experience working in healthcare, DfE schools and high density residential settings
- Highly proficient in Revit with continual use in practice as the primary design/delivery tool
- Expert knowledge of UK Construction and Building Law
