Due to continued development within the College Finance team, we are seeking to appoint an experienced, proactive and highly organised Procurement Officer to provide a high quality procurement service across the College.
Responsibilities
Working closely with departments throughout the College, you will negotiate with suppliers of goods and services to ensure best value, maintain strong supplier relationships and support the delivery of an efficient and compliant procurement function. You will also contribute to the wider Finance team to help deliver an outstanding support service across the College.
Maintain contract registers, operate goods receipting systems and ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023.
Qualifications
- Good general education, including GCSE Maths at grade C/4 or above.
- CIPS Level 3 qualification or above.
- Experience of purchasing goods and services within a large organisation.
- Experience of working with the Procurement Act 2023, maintaining contract registers and operating goods receipting systems.
- Experience of using electronic tendering systems and purchasing frameworks.
Skills
- Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines and support continuous improvement across procurement processes.
Location
On site delivery.
