About the Role
As a Senior Dental Nurse, you’ll provide clinical and operational support. You’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity of care and upholding the highest standards in infection control, safeguarding, compliance, and patient experience. You’ll work closely with the Practice Manager to support day‑to‑day operations, mentor dental nurses and trainees, and lead by example in professionalism, teamwork, and patient care standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide high‑quality chairside assistance to dentists during a wide range of dental procedures.
- Support and mentor junior dental nurses and trainees.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, HTM 01‑05, and cross‑infection control standards.
- Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring surgeries are prepared and maintained to a high standard.
- Manage stock control, ordering dental supplies, and maintaining equipment.
- Assist with patient care, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with GDPR and practice policies.
- Support practice management with audits, inspections, and administrative tasks.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Proven to have a strong background in people and service management.
- An excellent communicator with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Passionate about delivering great care and an excellent patient experience.
- Confident in using performance data and quality assurance systems.
- Familiar with CQC standards and governance (and willing to train as a CQC Registered Manager).
