Registered Manager – Children's Residential (EBD)

Location: Leicester

Salary: 51,500 – 60,000 + 7,500 Welcome Bonus

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Home Type: 3-bed Children's Residential (EBD)

Service Users: Young people aged 8-17

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed children's residential home supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and compliance with Children's Homes Regulations (2015) and Ofsted standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a stable service and drive positive outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the residential home in line with regulatory and organisational standards
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare of all young people is prioritised at all times
  • Maintain full Ofsted compliance, including inspections, audits, Reg 44 & Reg 45 reporting
  • Develop, support and supervise a high-performing staff team
  • Manage staff performance, appraisals, training and development
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments and behavioural support strategies
  • Manage budgets, resources and occupancy levels effectively
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, schools and external professionals
  • Promote a nurturing, therapeutic and homely environment for young people
  • Act as the lead for safeguarding concerns, complaints and quality assurance

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
  • QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willing to work towards)
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in children's residential care
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Ability to drive performance, compliance and positive outcomes
