At CGI, you will help design and deliver secure, resilient network solutions that support mission‑critical systems across the Space, Defence and Intelligence sector. As a Network Engineer, you will work with leading technologies and expert teams to enable high‑performance connectivity across complex environments, ensuring that systems remain robust, secure and fit for purpose.
Location & Clearance
This position will be based on site near Gloucester or in Central London, 5 days a week. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and support secure network infrastructure across cloud and on‑premise environments.
- Configure and maintain routing, switching and network security components.
- Integrate and support connectivity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments.
- Monitor and optimise network performance, availability and resilience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and technical issues.
- Collaborate and deliver with internal teams and external partners.
- Report and communicate network performance, risks and operational updates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in network engineering within enterprise or secure environments.
- Strong proficiency in routing and switching technologies.
- Solid understanding of network security principles and controls.
- Experience with cloud networking concepts, including OCI awareness.
- Experience in network monitoring and performance management.
- Proven ability in troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and OCIR (desirable).
- Experience with firewalls, security appliances or network automation (advantageous).
- Understanding of secure environments and compliance requirements (advantageous).
