A prominent law firm, is seeking a talented Corporate Insurance Senior Associate to join their market-leading team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled legal professional with 5+ years of PQE experience in the (re)insurance sector to take on a challenging and rewarding role within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Position Overview
As a Corporate Insurance Senior Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional legal services to clients in the insurance industry. You will work on a diverse range of transactions, including M&A, private equity investments, syndicate financings, managing agency arrangements, renewal rights deals, Part VII transfers, and reinsurance transactions such as ADC, LPTs, and RITCs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and complete deals effectively from start to finish, delivering legal and commercial solutions
- Work collaboratively with clients and colleagues to provide an outstanding client experience
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships based on an understanding of their business objectives
- Identify and shape commercial opportunities, encouraging others to participate in business development efforts
- Work efficiently and commercially, understanding the importance of financial hygiene and sharing this understanding with the team
- Adopt a commercial mindset when pricing, resourcing, and using technology to manage matters, considering the impact on profitability
- Coach and develop junior team members to help them achieve their full potential
- Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative firm culture
Requirements
- 5+ PQE with specialist experience in (transactional) corporate insurance and a strong grounding in this area
- Proven ability to manage and complete deals effectively from start to finish
- Strong client relationship skills and the ability to understand and support clients' business objectives
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Commercial acumen and an understanding of financial hygiene and profitability
- Commitment to business development, coaching, and developing junior team members
- Dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative firm culture
