Do you have a passion for technology and a genuine hunger to learn? Are you looking for a company that will invest in your development from day one? If so, CIS wants to hear from you.

Role Overview

CIS are looking for a motivated individual eager to begin a career in IT within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. This role is designed for those with limited or no commercial IT experience — whether you’re a recent graduate, have just completed an IT apprenticeship, or simply have the attitude and drive to succeed.

From day one you’ll be supported with a team of senior engineers, structured study time built into your working week, and company-funded certifications — all part of a clear development pathway towards becoming a fully capable Systems Engineer.

The role offers the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to kick‑start their career while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • A genuine interest in technology and a strong desire to learn and develop
  • Good communication skills — you’ll be speaking with customers daily by phone and email
  • A professional, positive approach with good attention to detail
  • The ability to follow processes, document work clearly, and work to agreed timeframes
  • Basic confidence using computers and everyday business applications
  • GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience in the following would be beneficial, but is not required:

  • An IT apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in a computing‑related field
  • Some exposure to Windows desktop or server environments
  • Awareness of virtualisation, cloud concepts, or basic security principles

What CIS Will Give You:

  • Dedicated mentoring — access to a senior engineer who will guide and support your growth throughout your time at CIS
  • Structured study time — allocated learning hours built into your working week
  • Funded certifications — including Microsoft SC-900 and CompTIA Network+ as part of your initial development pathway
  • Clear progression — a structured route towards becoming a Systems Engineer, with responsibility increasing as your skills grow
  • Flexible working — hybrid and remote options available, with dedicated time within an office environment

CIS is a customer‑focused company and as such all engineers are expected to have exceptional customer service skills. The successful candidate will also work alongside a team of experienced engineers and provide assistance where needed across the business.

CIS offer a comprehensive package and excellent career prospects, with a commitment to developing the right people.
