What you’ll do

This role is accountable for the ownership of Project and Programme governance in Networks. You will define and lead the organisation’s programme and project management strategy, overseeing the full portfolio of programmes and projects to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and commercial targets.

  • Define and lead the Networks organisation’s programme and project management strategy, driving continuous improvements of the programme delivery capabilities, whilst overseeing the full portfolio of programmes and projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and commercial targets
  • Provide strategic insight and recommendations to executive leadership on portfolio prioritisation, risks, and resource allocation
  • Establish and maintain project and programme management frameworks, standards, and methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2)
  • Implement governance structures, including stage gates, reporting cadences, and quality assurance practices
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, project sponsors, delivery teams
  • Facilitate steering committees, governance boards, and cross‑functional collaboration
  • Lead and develop PMO staff, project managers, analysts, and other delivery professionals
  • Drive process automation and improvements to enhance delivery efficiency and transparency, ensuring regular evaluation and adoption of best‑in‑class PMO practices

Who you are

  • Prior experience leading operational PMO management, with the ability to assess PMO capability, manage delivery governance and drive continuous improvement at scale
  • Experience within evaluating business cases, balancing resources, and recommending investment decisions
  • Experience influencing C‑suite stakeholders on programme progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Good change management skills, with the ability to ensure programme delivery aligns with change impacts, readiness, training, and communications
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities, with prior experience leading a team
