Real Time Intelligence Officer

Turn information into intelligence when it matters most.

Overview

You will provide vital 24‑hour intelligence support, researching, developing, and sharing information with key stakeholders to inform decision‑making, while accurately recording intelligence to support future research. You will also undertake open‑source research to assist live incidents and contribute to cross‑border and inter‑agency investigations. As part of your development, you’ll have the opportunity to become an accredited Intelligence Researcher by completing the Intelligence Professionalisation Programme, gaining recognised intelligence skills and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Research intelligence for incidents and accurately link this on force systems.
  • Notify and record prison recalls, persons unlawfully at large, and breaches of tags.
  • Identify risk and threat through evaluation of intelligence.

Qualifications

  • Research experience using several databases including gathering and analysing data.
  • Experience producing high‑quality and accurate written correspondence.
  • Understanding of how to provide a first‑class customer service.
