Market Access Specialist | Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices

We’re seeking a Market Access Specialist with strong account management and/or access expertise to lead Scotland territory access strategy, pathway optimisation, and stakeholder engagement across NHS Scotland. This CNS‑focused role spans an innovative medical device launch alongside a diverse pharmaceuticals portfolio, with a clear focus on navigating Scottish NHS structures and ensuring sustainable patient access.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Scotland market access strategy across NHS Scotland, securing formulary inclusion, funding routes, pathway alignment, and long‑term adoption.
  • Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across NHS Scotland, including Health Boards, Area Drug & Therapeutics Committees (ADTCs), regional decision‑makers, procurement, and provider organisations.
  • Develop tailored local access strategies aligned to Scottish commissioning pathways, value propositions, and population health priorities.
  • Partner with sales, medical affairs, and commercial teams to align access plans with commercial objectives, contracting, and tenders within the Scotland territory.
  • Support the development and localisation of pricing, reimbursement, HEOR, and budget‑impact materials relevant to NHS Scotland decision‑making.
  • Track Scottish health policy, access frameworks, and system pressures, proactively adjusting territory strategy.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience engaging NHS Scotland Health Boards / ADTCs and influencing access decisions at national, regional, and provider level.
  • Strong understanding of Scottish NHS structures, funding flows, pathway redesign, and procurement processes.
  • Demonstrable market access capability, ideally combined with a Key Account Manager or commercial background.
  • Experience across pharmaceuticals and/or generics, with the ability to articulate clinical and economic value in competitive therapy areas.
