About the Opportunity
Amentum is recruiting an Electrical Construction Supervisor to ensure effective execution of Electrical and I&C erection and turnover to commissioning at Hinkley Point C (HPC). The role involves managing the discipline works execution and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of the discipline works erection strategy as defined by the Overall Construction Manager
- Creation of a detailed plan and sub schedule to ensure all works within the discipline are completed in accordance with the overall schedule
- Preparation and pre checks to ensure all materials are available and all required tools and equipment are available
- Liaise with Engineering on all engineering documentation required for site erection of the discipline work
- Ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and adherence to the Site Quality Assurance Programme by the subcontractors of the discipline work
- The management of the subcontractors appointed to install the works within the discipline to ensure that the works are completed on time and within budget
- Actively manage all subordinate personnel, subcontractors erection resources to optimize the execution of the scope of the discipline works
- Thorough investigation and taking remedial action within the scope of the discipline works of all variances, deviations, non-conformances, extra works, claims, non-budgeted costs, etc., and coordination with the Site Contracts Manager and other site management to eliminate or minimize the cost impact to the client
- Maintaining all records of erection progress within the scope of the discipline works
- Maintaining all quality records within the scope of the discipline works and managing and maintaining the creation of as-built documentation within the scope of the discipline works
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- University degree in electrical engineering discipline (comparable with bachelor/master)
- Appropriate formal internal training in power plant construction and engineering with appropriate training in leadership and management
- Complete at least 2 full cycle of power plant construction projects
- Experience in site construction execution and managing of subcontractors with general knowledge of power plant systems
- Thorough knowledge within the discipline
