About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer, to join our client’s team covering a commercial building considered highly critical in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join an esteemed facilities company that values quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks on electrical & mechanical systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on fire alarms, emergency lighting, sprinklers and other compliance systems.
- Carry out checks to building equipment and systems such as Circuit breakers, Generators, UPS, AHU/FCU’s, Motors, Pumps, LTHWS etc.
- Undertake AP training, performing switching tasks as per schedule.
- Diagnose and resolve M&E faults quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Participate in a 1 in 5 call-out rota to provide emergency support.
- Participate in site shutdowns quarterly.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ equivalent in Electrical Installation or Engineering plus 18th Edition.
- Proven experience in a similar M&E maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial building systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
