Please note the role is site based 5 days per week and the location is on a main transportation line to the South West of London.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily QC laboratory operations, ensuring raw materials, in-process, and finished goods consistently meet strict quality standards.
  • Review and release laboratory test data while safeguarding regulatory compliance (cGMP, FDA, HC, global standards).
  • Manage laboratory equipment lifecycle, including budgeting, calibration, qualification, and troubleshooting.
  • Drive continuous improvement and audit readiness across laboratory processes.
  • Mentor and develop QC staff.
  • Partner with suppliers, R&D, and operations to resolve testing issues and support product innovation.

The successful candidate

  • Will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., microbiology, analytical chemistry).
  • Have at least 8 years’ managerial experience in quality control labs within consumer goods, medical devices, pharmaceutical, or similar industries.
  • Will have a proven track record of running multiple labs in a regulated (cGMP) environment.
  • Will have strong expertise in laboratory compliance, data integrity, and regulatory audits (FDA, HC, or other global agencies).
  • Should be able to show success in developing SOPs and driving corrective & preventive action (CAPA) programs.
