Reds10 are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to play a pivotal role within our finance leadership team. This is a senior position responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial information, strengthening financial controls, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

The ideal candidate will bring strong financial analysis and forecasting expertise within a £50m+ revenue organisation, alongside deep experience in management accounts, controls, and team leadership. Construction industry experience is preferred, as is exposure to ERP system implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production of accurate, timely monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Deliver robust financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support strategic decision-making
  • Maintain and enhance financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, tax, and CIS requirements
  • Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements in line with regulatory requirements
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes
  • Manage subcontractor invoicing and provide accurate information for CIS returns
  • Support continuous improvement of finance systems and processes, including ERP implementation where applicable
  • Monitor and ensure delivery against all financial deadlines
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to provide insight and challenge where required
  • Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing finance team

Skills & Experience Required

  • Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
  • Proven Financial Controller (or equivalent) experience within a £50m+ turnover business
  • Strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and management account reporting
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Advanced Excel and strong proficiency with financial systems (e.g. Sage, ERP platforms)
  • Highly organised, deadline-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong commercial awareness
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
