We are seeking a delivery focused Building Fabric / Construction Project Manager to join our Facilities Management (FM) team, supporting contracts across Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow and West Beith). The role involves the effective management of build and multi‑skilled operatives delivering a range of works including reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and small‑scale projects.

A key aspect of the role is client relationship management. You will act as the primary point of contact and day‑to‑day representative for our service, maintaining strong, professional relationships through regular communication, scheduled meetings, and site walk‑throughs. Delivering a high‑quality, responsive service and ensuring client satisfaction is fundamental to the success of this role.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Manage day‑to‑day delivery of building fabric and construction works across FM contracts, ensuring activities are planned, resourced, and delivered to programme.
  • Provide effective site leadership, supervising operatives and subcontractors to ensure safe systems of work, performance standards, and productivity.
  • Lead health and safety compliance on site, including inductions, toolbox talks, hazard identification, and adherence to statutory and company requirements.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, meetings, and site walk‑throughs, acting as the face of the service.
  • Support planning, reporting, and coordination of works, including site reporting, materials, plant, and logistics management.
  • Identify issues and risks, resolve problems proactively, and contribute to continuous improvement across FM operations.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in construction supervision, site management, or projects role.
  • Sound technical knowledge of building fabric and construction activities.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading operatives and apprentices.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and teams.
  • Clear, professional communication skills with a client‑focused approach.
  • Valid CSR Card, demonstrating health and safety awareness.
  • Health & Safety supervision qualifications (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, Advanced CSR).
  • IPAF 3A / 3B certification.
  • PASMA combined certification.
  • Security clearance for certain sites (can be obtained if not already held)

Additional Information

This role requires a reliable and flexible approach to support operational delivery across multiple sites. Occasional adjustments to working hours may be required to meet service and project demands.
