The Role

As a Microsoft Teams SME, you will provide expert-level support and guidance for Microsoft Teams services, including telephony, conferencing, and integrations. You will work on troubleshooting, configuration, automation, and operational improvements while ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and security updates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for daily customer-initiated operations of Microsoft Teams, Telephony (Peer-to-Peer), and Audio Conference services.
  • Troubleshoot and configure Teams, Channels, Private Channels, and membership settings.
  • Configure Messaging Policies, Meeting Policies, Delegations, and Calendar settings.
  • Handle Level 3 service requests and operational activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend service improvement solutions.
  • Monitor alerts and respond to incidents, escalating when necessary.
  • Coordinate with escalation teams and third-party vendors during high-risk incidents or projects.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering methodologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Execute scheduled or unscheduled tasks related to operational maintenance and monitoring.
  • Stay updated on new Teams features and security updates.
  • Knowledge of Teams Voice, Microsoft Calling Plans, and associated configurations.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting using tools like QER, CQD, Teams Logs, and base metrics.
  • Knowledge of API registrations for Teams Apps and App-Centric Management.
  • Ability to test new features to enterprise standards and raise changes accordingly.

Your Profile

  • Strong experience as a Microsoft Teams SME with hands‑on expertise in Teams administration.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and MS Graph API.
  • Deep understanding of Teams licensing, communication credits, and telephony configurations.
  • Knowledge of Teams‑related SharePoint and OneDrive areas.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex Teams issues and provide RCA quickly.
  • Familiarity with Teams Voice and Microsoft Calling Plans.
  • Strong communication and articulation skills for executive‑level escalations.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with Microsoft Teams.
  • Microsoft Certification (MS‑700).
  • Experience in planning, designing, and implementing M365 services.
  • Knowledge of Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Co‑Pilot.
  • Familiarity with migration tools like Quest‑on‑Demand, BitTitan, SkySync.
  • Knowledge of enterprise mobility solutions like Endpoint Manager.
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Flexible for shift duties and relocation.
