Senior Chemotherapy Staff Nurse, Delamere Day Case Unit — Full time, permanent post — Working Pattern: 4 days a week, Monday – Friday 8am-6pm
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK's leading providers of non-surgical cancer treatment, caring for a population of 2.4 million people across Cheshire & Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man and parts of Lancashire.
Our flagship specialist cancer hospital in Liverpool opened in June 2020, supported by our hospital in Wirral, providing outpatient cancer treatment and supportive care, and our radiotherapy treatment centre on the Aintree Hospital site.
Together, working across three sites and operating specialist chemotherapy clinics in four of Merseyside's district hospitals, we are able to deliver a comprehensive range of inpatient care, advanced radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other systemic anti‑cancer therapies including gene therapies and immunotherapies. We also deliver a pioneering Treatment at Home and Work service; are the only facility in the UK providing low‑energy proton beam therapy to treat rare eye cancers and host the region's Teenage and Young Adult Unit.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 SACT trained nurse to work at our CCC – Wirral site on Delamere Day Case Unit. They will embark on a programme of dual training for both Oncology and Haematology systemic anticancer treatments. They must be highly motivated and willing to undergo training in the Haematology and chemotherapy fields.
As we deliver treatments in sector hubs and clinics across the Wirral and Liverpool, there will be an element of cross cover required during training and once training has been completed. This will include travelling to all of our peripheral sites:
- CCC Liverpool
- CCC Aintree
- CCC Southport
- CCC Wirral
- CCC Chester
- CCC Halton
- CCC Private Unit Wirral
- CCC Private Unit Liverpool
- Clatterbridge in the Community
