Operations & Maintenance Project Manager / Asset Manager

Location: Padstow

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

An established and growing renewable energy business is seeking a motivated and organised Operations & Maintenance Project Manager / Asset Manager to join its expanding team in Cornwall.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering Solar PV and Wind Turbine projects across the UK. The company provides a full in-house service from design and build through to long-term asset management and operations.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring and managing operational renewable energy assets, ensuring sites are maintained to the highest health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review performance of operational renewable energy sites via online monitoring portals
  • Identify faults and system underperformance, diagnosing issues and coordinating solutions
  • Review site inspection reports and provide technical feedback
  • Collate operational data and manage compliance schedules
  • Prepare and issue performance reports to clients following inspections or fault identification
  • Provide performance analysis and recommend operational improvements
  • Liaise with clients, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), landowners, engineers, and external consultants
  • Coordinate with O&M teams and track progress of remedial works

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience working on the operation of commercial Solar PV systems
  • Methodical and process-driven approach
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Solution-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Skills

  • CAD experience
  • Broader renewable energy industry knowledge (Solar PV and/or Wind)
  • Degree qualified in Renewable Energy, Engineering, or similar discipline
