Commercial Analyst – Decommissioning – North SeaLocation: Aberdeen – Hybrid – occasional travel to office.Type: Contract – £400/Day Inside IR35 

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst / Commercial Lead to support North Sea assets, with a strong focus on administration of Decommissioning Security Agreements (DSAs) across existing and legacy fields. The role will act as a commercial focal point for a range of agreements and will interface with internal stakeholders and external operators.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years commercial experience in the UK North Sea
  • Hands-on experience with Decommissioning Security Agreements (DSAs), including administration of key obligations
  • Strong track record negotiating a range of commercial agreements
  • Comfortable working in a small team and engaging with internal/external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of North Sea players, infrastructure, and commercial context
  • Proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail

Core Responsibilities (DSA-focused)

  • Review operator calculations submitted under DSAs, ensuring:
    • DSA terms/assumptions are followed
    • expert referral is triggered where required
  • Manage and coordinate security requirements with local and central stakeholders
  • Ensure security is provided and received in accordance with agreements
  • Track and update exposure across legacy / previous fields
  • Support responses to government decommissioning plans (including letters of support)
  • Track and respond to Section 29 notices
  • Work with AR local and US teams; provide regular updates on progress and exposure

Additional Commercial ScopeProvide support across a wide range of commercial agreements, e.g.:

  • Transportation agreements
  • Proximity agreements
  • JOA-related matters
  • Pipelines / crossings / related infrastructure agreements

Skills

  • Strong commercial judgement, analytical capability, and contract interpretation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication (written + verbal)
  • Highly organised; able to manage multiple workstreams with accuracy
  • Strong Excel / PowerPoint (preferred)
