Are you the person we are looking for?
The Mechatronics Applications Consultant drives opportunities to completion by delivering pre-sales technical support and clearly presenting Routeco’s Mechatronics value to customers. Key duties include guiding clients through the machine lifecycle, showcasing solutions that improve efficiency and cost of ownership, and collaborating with sales, partners, and internal and external stakeholders for technical expertise and support.
Responsibilities
- Driving Mechatronics sales by proactively engaging with sales teams and franchise partners on identified projects or target customer accounts
- Collaborating with the Mechatronics team and taking full ownership of the UK Routeco Mechatronics solution number in the UK
- Developing and working with Routeco sales teams on authorised Mechatronics opportunities
- Maintaining and continually updating Routeco business units on Routeco’s current Mechatronics solutions
- Ensuring the desired level of sales and profitability are achieved in line with the company’s goals and objectives
- Sharing and updating project information across other vertical teams to maximise the Routeco opportunity in accounts
- Following up on any sales lead generated within their product scope
- Working with partnered SI community to enable them and ensure they follow the SI MOU in maximising the business through Routeco
- Working collaboratively with the Vision Applications Consultant on any identified opportunity
- Building proposals around the Mechatronics Solutions offer
- Providing POC concepts through E3D on relevant applications
- Providing pre-sales support on selected franchise partners
- Developing Mechatronics business opportunities and target accounts
- Promoting the day-to-day activity of Mechatronics, ICT, Vision, and third-party franchise partner products
- Offering training, advice, and assistance to local sales areas and service centres
- Attending joint customer visits with Routeco Sales Teams and franchise partners
- Demonstrating effective territory planning and effective use of external and internal sales resources to maximise customer contact
- Planning, implementation, and achievement of agreed targets for the Routeco Mechatronics business
- Supporting the Regional Sales team in developing the commercial acumen and skills required to deliver against the Mechatronics solution offering, including coaching and development of the external sales team
- Always promoting the full capability of Routeco to key customers
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Liaising with Regional Sales Managers, OEM Solutions, End User Consultants, and Account Managers to ensure a collaborative approach
- Ensuring adherence to sales disciplines by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the Dynamics 365 CRM, including activity progress, project status, actions, and meeting outcomes
- Monthly reporting of activity and engagement along with opportunities in line with expectations
What do you need to bring to Routeco?
- A good standard of education, particularly in Maths and English
- Enjoyment in dealing with people, creating and maintaining relationships, and making a good impression both personally and for the organisation
- Business development skills to generate new opportunities and follow through to completion
- Persistence and flexibility to see a job through to conclusion
- Experience in mechatronics, Independent Cart Technology, and Emulate 3D
- The ability to make favourable impressions on others
- The ability to work under pressure and exhibit awareness of commercial conditions
- Experience in a similar product support or customer service environment (preferable)
